Kalle Sändare - Busringningens mästare = Kalle Sändare (Transmitter) - master of prank calling

Kalle Sändare was Sweden's most famous prank caller and no one was safe. For 40 years, he made Swedes laugh at the confused conversations, and many could recite the dialogues by heart. But behind the humour there was great knowledge and professional pride.

Kalle Sändare fans Björn Ulvaeus, Maria Lundqvist, Fredrik Lindström and many more were featured in this documentary by Stefan Livh and Per Dahlberg.  Björn is seen listening to recordings of Kalle Sändare, laughing and sharing memories. You can see that he has his coffee either black or extremely strong!

Björn said that ABBA loved him and even quoted him in their lyrics and and used to give away watches with well-known Kalle Sändare quotes on the dials as gifts during their tours. Janne Schaffer also makes a brief appearance.

In 2023, Björn received the Gustav Hjäler scholarship, an annual award since 2012, for "just being the world's most famous Kalle Sändare advocate. To humbly always stand up when he can do something to work for Kalle Sändare's memory."
