Benny attended a press conference to launch the Stiftelsen Taubes Värld (Taube World Foundation), with the aim of preserving, developing, increasing knowledge and promoting the memory of Swedish author, artist, composer and singer Evert Taube and his wife Astri.

Benny was the only one of the four founders of the Taube World Foundation in attendance at the press conference: the others being Björn,  Sven-Bertil Taube and Håkan Hellström.

Benny said that whenever he got stuck whilst composing, he would play Evert Taube's music which he said he had discovered when he was eight years old and that it had followed him throughout his life.

When asked about the two new ABBA songs, Benny said, "They are coming! They are coming this year and I would guess after the summer."
