ZDF Heute = ZDF Today

The most unbelievable news broke late morning in the UK on Friday 27 April 2018 - ABBA had recorded two new songs.  The news was right there on their website under the title A Message From ABBA. It's true!

As Europe got the news first, throughout the day the news spread as ABBA fans, TV news stations and social media and, it seems, the whole world went crazy.  

Björn stepped up to be interviewed and by the end of the evening we'd seen him confirm the news on Quest Means Business and on this interview earlier in the afternoon which was filmed by ZDF Heute and broadcast in Germany at 19:00. Björn spoke in English but was overdubbed heavily in German - so much so that unless you spoke German you couldn't hear what was being said.

Luckily, the same interview (and more of it) was shown in Sweden on Sunday 29 April 2018 on the programme Nyhertna on TV4.  Björn's interview was subtitled but not overdubbed so you were able to hear what he said: "We come into a room, the four of us - and we haven't done that for 10 years and but .. yeah ... it took half a minute and suddenly we were "whoosh!" straight back .... you know, to the 70s."  (When asked about the atmosphere between them), "Ah yes, yes, it's ... we're such good friends and because we're so close, we've gone through so much together, that there is a bond between us that no-one can break."
