Salesforce is the world’s #1 customer relationship management (CRM) platform. Their cloud-based applications for sales, service, marketing, and more don’t require IT experts to set up or manage — simply log in and start connecting to customers in a whole new way. Basically, they sell business tools for businesses.
Salesforce Sweden's annual 2018 conference was held in Stockholm, entitled Trailhead Live Stockholm and billed as follows: "In today’s digital world everything is getting smarter and faster, as people, products and devices become increasingly connected. To keep up with this fast-paced and increasingly connected world, businesses need to think differently and innovative to connect with their customers. Last year, over 1200 people like you gathered at Waterfront to learn how they could connect to their customers in a new and intelligent way. Now we're back with another incredible day for companies looking to ensure that they are ready for tomorrow’s hyper connected world. This year's event features keynotes from world-class thought leaders and successful businesses from across the Nordics. Opportunities to participate in exciting breakout sessions. Cloud expos from our leading partners and hands-on demonstrations of the latest innovations in the Salesforce Customer Success Platform."
Björn was interviewed at Trailhead Live Stockholm, once again in his capacity as an 'entrepreneur'. The session was held in English.
Björn talked about the IT project he is involved in - a product called Auddly. (Auddly is a song data hub, founded in Sweden by Niclas Molinder and backed by Max Martin and Björn, to fill the gap in the music industry’s data and money flow. Auddly allows music creators to collect their song data and make it accessible for the business side, in order to secure transparent and correct credits and payments for everyone involved. The future of song data management is here.)
He also talked about the ticketing system at the Pop House Hotel and ABBA The Museum which was run by Swedish Rail but now is run by Salesforce (hence his appearance at the conference).
He confirmed he was a technological 'geek' and was excited about 'digitizing' himself for the 1979 versions of the four ABBA members and confirmed that these would go on a world tour with a live band in 2019. He said that a team from San Francicso came to Stockholm and they had to wear helmets and have dots on their faces etc to enable the creative process. He described it as a "library of face muscles!".
They also talked about AI (artificial intelligence).
Finally, he was asked if there was a question he had never been asked that he'd like to be asked. He replied, "No-one has ever asked me how I manage to look so young!". So he was asked the question! He said, "I run 5K every day and I scan myself once a year in order to see whether something is going wrong or whether I need to change or replace!"
This was really interesting and well worth a watch.
