Björn gave press interviews shortly before the première of Mamma Mia! The Party, describing where the idea came from, what it woud be like and addressing the old ABBA reunion question.

Expressen TV: Mamma Mia! The Party had a world première at Gröna Lund in Stockholm on 20 January. And now, Björn Ulvaues revelas that the act differs from the film and the musical. He also comments on rumours of an ABBA reunion.

Björn: There's no such plans. You will most likely never see that. We talk together and meet each other. And should there be something that made us think that this should we do maybe ... But I don't see that happening.
Expressen TV: You say you often talk to the others. How is your relationship with the other members?
Björn: Very good. Benny and I still work together. We are writing songs for his orchestra - he's going on tour this summer. And we're trying to write some new songs together. So we have constant contact with each other. And Agnetha and I have grandchildren together. We see each other for birthdays and such - we also have a good relationship with each other. And Frida comes to Stockholm every now and then - and then we meet each other. We are all four VERY good friends.

Björn: It took years. It took 2.5 to 3 years I think, from when the idea was first born 'til the opening. Hello everyone!  This venue - there's a big party going on every night.
Jim Stenman: A party inspired by the runaway success of Mamma Mia! the musical which in turn was inspired by ABBA, one of the most successful bands of all time.
Björn: At the end of each performance, people stand up and sing and dance in the aisles and there's like a party mood and I always had the feeling that if people could have gone on somewhere else to have a party, they would!
JS: And that's exactly the idea behind Mamma Mia! The Party - a greek-style restaurant launched just this January, and able to host about 450 people each night, lured in by the unique mix of food and performances.
Björn: We thought it would be nice to have a little story played out in real-time every ... every evening while people are eating and drinking and having fun - through dialogue and through ABBA songs.
JS: Something that appears to be keeping the Swedish pop group in the limielight even decades after their split. The band recently reunited on stage for the laucnh of Mamma Mia! The Party - their first joint appearance in years
Björn: It took a split second and then if felt so familiar, you know, standing there with those other three people with whom I've been standing on so many stages around the world.
JS: Like this winning performance of Waterloo at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974. Stockholm's set to host the annual singing competition in May and Björn plans to launch Mamma Mia! The Party in English around the same time, taking him one step closer to his next dream.
Björn: It's like this show was made for New York I think and Mamma Mia! ran there on Broadway for 14 years. Wanna go back and to have a show there is amazing!
