Björn participated in a short video encouraging voters in Europe to vote in the forthcoming European Elections from 22-25 May 2014 on behalf of ILGA-Europe (the European Region of the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association).

Other participants included actor Sir Ian McKellan, actor/writer Stephen Fry and ex-Eastenders actor and MEP Michael Cashman including other particpants from Italy, Latvia, Slovenia, Finland, Poland, Malta, the Netherlands and Northern Ireland.

Björn's words, interspersed with the other participants who all said similar things, were: "Björn Ulvaeus. The EU came out and made difference. I'm from Sweden."
