This new programme was made to promote Agnetha's new album, A, and featured exclusive access to Agnetha in the studio and with her colleagues of both recent years and from ABBA, assessing and celebrating her journey as Sweden's 'girl with the golden hair'.

It was basically the story of Agnetha's life - growing up in Jonköping, moving to Stockholm, meeting Benny, Björn and Frida and then the ABBA years and it touched briefly on her solo career post-ABBA and then her return to the spotlight in 2013.  Both Benny and Björn talk about the ABBA years with focus on Agnetha, obviously, for this programme.  Agnetha herself was also interviewed at length and was seen in the recording studio in Stockholm and also on her promotional trip to London.

It was lovely hearing Agnetha and Björn speak so lovingly about each other.

As she had recorded her half of the vocals for  I Should Have Followed You Home alone, this programme shows her meeting Gary Barlow for the first time in London.

This intimate and revealing programme also featured interviews with Gary Barlow, Tony Blackburn, arranger and record producer Peter Nordahl, songwriter Jörgen Elofsson, Sir Tim Rice, "Rock King" and Agnetha's discoverer, Lille Gerhard, Agnetha's friend and stylist Lolo Murray and ABBA's make-up artist and ABBA Museum curator IngMarie Halling.

A few weeks before the programme aired, Agnetha's official website drip-fed some behind-the-scene clips which at the time weren't explained as being anything to do with this documentary. But now we know this was Agnetha being filmed from a different angle. The footage of her playing the piano was obviously dropped from the final cut.

There was some great footage shown in this programme - not much of it was new to anyone reading this now - but to the general public, it was probably a revelation.

As wonderful as all this is/was ... Frida's contribution I felt was downplayed somewhat. Gary Barlow said, referring to Agnetha, "That's the sound of ABBA, I mean that's it ... her voice is IT."  No Gary, it's half of it.
