HARPA - Nordic Film Composer Award was founded in 2010 by Nordic composers and composers. Film music composers from Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Denmark compete for the award. The prize money is 100,000 SEK. Former prize winners are Fredrik Emilson (Sweden) 2012, Gaute Storaas (Norway) 2011 and Dani Strömbäck (Finland) 2010. The Swedish contribution to the HARPA Nordic Film Composer Award is jointly appointed by SKAP and FST.

Benny gave a brief interview to Kjell Homstrand about being nominated for his film music for the film Palme (Directors: Kristina Lindström and Maud Nycander) and spoke about how the process of composing for someone else's project was different to how he normally works; about Olaf Palme himself and the value of music in films.
