Välfärdsåren = The Welfare Years
This series on Swedish cable channel Axess, told the story of the so-called welfare years in Sweden between 1945–1986 - an era that kicked off with the end of WWII, and, according to this series, presumably ended with the murder of Prime Minister Olof Palme.
In the first episode of the series, depicting the years 1945–1949, two of the guests were Björn Ulvaeus and Jane Cederqvist (a former swimmer and a winner of an Olympic silver medal in 1960, who went on to make a career as the managing director of several state-owned institutions). They had been chosen by the host, Göran Hägg (who is also the author of the book Välfärdsåren that the series is based on), because they were both born around the time of the end of WWII. He felt their lives and careers symbolised the post-war prosperity and opportunities afforded those who grew up in the 40s, 50s and 60s.
