de week van Willibrord = the week of Willibrord
A news report showing footage of Agnetha in court and leaving to get to her car after the hearing relating to her stalker, Dutchman Gert van der Graaf. Agnetha had to testify against him and confessed that she'd had a romantic relationship with him.
Gert was interviewed for the report. See TRANSCRIPT for the interview.
This was the first moving TV footage of Agnetha for many years. It was a real shame that our first glimpse of her after all that time was for something like this.
Voiceover: Agnetha Faltskog, the blonde singer of ABBA, is claiming she’s been stalked over the years by the 34 year old Gert vd Graaf. Since he was 8 years old, he’s been madly in love with the Swedish singer and in 1997 he even moved to Sweden to be closer to his great love. He even claims he had a love affair with her and that it’s true love. But Agnetha has filled charges against him of stalking and in April Gert was arrested by the Swedish police.
Reaction Gert: Special, she’s really very special
Voiceover: The affair of Agnetha and Gert is this year's world news, everyone is trying to get him for the camera, but the only one who succeeds is indeed Willibrord.
Willibrord (in Sweden): Willibrord Frequin
Gert van der Graaf: Hi
Willibrord: Do you know me?
Voiceover: Gert tells all about his relationship with Agnetha and even shows Willibrord the bedroom where he claims to have spent numerous nights with the singer
Willibrord: This is where you made love to her?
Gert: Yes
Willibrord: And if I say that I don’t believe you?
Gert: At her house too
Willibrord: At her house too?
Gert: Yes at her house too
Voiceover: To prove that they really had contact, Gert shows a little book, where Agnetha has written that she wishes him all the best in his life
Willibrord: Everywhere you go there’s Gert popping up (meaning that’s what Agnetha is going trough). You must realize that that is a threat to her, surely?
Gert: I don’t really believe that, because she really loved me. If you had sex 100 times, then you can say that you really love each other
Willibrord: Sex 100 times?
Voiceover: Yes Yes sex 100 times, Willibrord doesn’t believe it and he’s not the only one, because Agnetha is making a court case of it because of his stalking. Two weeks ago during the court case, it is becoming clear that Gert is not totally telling fairytales: Agnetha confesses that she really had an relationship with Gert, during two years they were lovers. But the judge is harsh on Gert; he’s been punished for his years during the love affair for this woman, ex ABBA star Agnetha. The last thing he saw of her is that she leaves the court with huge media interest, because the affair is again world news. The judge banishes him for two years out of Sweden. And if he doesn’t leave the country within two weeks he’s risking a year in jail
Back in the Netherlands Voiceover: The past few days, Willibrord and his team are trying to come in contact with the crazy ABBA fan, but overwhelmed with emotion hangs up every times. But Willibrord doesn’t stop. Last Saturday Willibrord finds Gert at last somewhere is south Holland (province of the Netherlands).
Willibrord: I must apologize, LOOK! So you really had a relationship with her, sorry my fault, this is for you. But you’ve been thrown out of the country
Gert: Yes that hurts
Willibrord: How do you feel now?
Gert: uh, a little ...
Willibrord: say it
Gert: Lonely, yes abandoned
Willibrord: In which way?
Gert: Yes I lost a part of my life
Willibrord: Yes
Gert: It was a part of my life
Willibrord: So ...
Gert: It’s just very painful
Willibrord: You’ve got tears in your eyes
Gert: Yes, I’m her and she’s there in Sweden, we can’t reach each other anymore
Willibrord: You still love her?
Gert: Yes I really love her very much
Willibrord: Still very much?
Gert: For me there’s only Agnetha
Willibrord: But you don’t seem to be a Don Juan, who’s making court to a world-famous singer, but why did you succeed?
Gert: Yes, because Agnetha calls something special in me
Willibrord: Yes, your beautiful hair
Gert: Yes
Willibrord: You really had sex with her
Gert: Yes
Willibrord: Yes, Jesus and how was that?, we want to know it all of course
Gert: Perfect
Willibrord: Perfect ? was she a good lover?
Gert: Yes
Willibrord: She was hot?
Gert: Yes, it was more or like her invention
Willibrord: Oh ho ho!
Voiceover: Still Gert has a hard time, that’s why Willibrord wants to support him
Willibrord: Hey listen, you’ve lost a singer from Sweden, but I maybe have a nice girl for you (shows a CD of a Dutch singer), she’s also a singer - Corry Konings
Gert: No
Willibrord: You don’t want it?
Gert: I can’t do that to Agnetha
Willibrord: Oh then she’s becoming jealous
Voiceover: And yes for Gert there is only one true love and that is Agnetha
Gert: I hope that she knows when she needs me, she can always call me
Willibrord: She can call you, ok she’s always watching this show "the week of Willibrord", so say it in Swedish
Gert: "du kan mig ringa alltid" (you can always ring me)
Willibrord: "du kan mig ringa alltid" (you can always ring me), for so far the week of Willibrord see you next week!
