Frida awarded the 1998 Environmental Prize from her own Foundation to the Linnea School in Ljungskile and was then interviewed with Bo Segerberg, in charge of the environmental programme at the school.

This would have been an extremely difficult time for Frida personally as her daughter, Lotta, had been killed in a car crash on 13 January of this year and her husband, Ruzzo, was already suffering from the lymphoma that would claim his life less than a year later on 31 October 1999.
