After an extremely quiet 1985 and 1986 on the Frida front (she had filmed Tivedshambo in January 1986 but before that we hadn't seen her since Razzel in December 1984), Swedish pop duo Ratata (Mauro Scocco and Johan Ekelund) invited her to join them on a track for their new album Mellan dröm och verklighet (Between Dreams and Reality).

Two versions of the song were recorded; one in English and one in Swedish (Så Länge Vi Har Varann) and virtually identical PROMOs made for both.  Frida sported a longer and darker hairstyle than we'd ever seen her with before or since.

This English version was released as the B-side of the Ratata single Om Du Var Här which was the follow-up to Så Länge Vi Har Varann, and included on the 12" single as well. It has never been released on CD.  A version of the song with a longer fade out was included on a promotional VHS tape from the Record Station (record label) so only a small distribution had access to it.  Thankfully it's on YouTube and included in the VIDEO section here - however the very beginning of the song is cut of.

The Swedish version was released as a single and charted on 11 February 1987.

In an SVT documentary about Ratata, Ratata genom åttiotalet, broadcast in December 2013, the song was discussed and you can even listen to a small segment of acappella singing (segment started at 33:10 and also watch Frida listening to a 1981 recording of Fernando by Ratata at 57:52).

Frida! She doesn't appear for until 1½ minutes in.
