Känguru was a music series which was broadcast on ARD from 31 January 1985 until 22 December 1986 and contained 14 episodes. This bizarre programme had the host (presenter, entertainer and comedian Hape Kerkeling) dressed as a large kangaroo!
Agnetha performed twice on the show - however, the two performances were broadcast several months apart.
According to ABBA by Micke who was at the recording, "Firstly Agnetha performed One Way Love but she had to do the playback at least seven times before the director was satisfied, Before the next song, I Won't Let You Go, the director had the idea of having rabbits in the scene for her song with artificial snow. Agnetha was nervous while singing because she was scared of stepping on the rabbits. She also had a coughing fit because of the artificial snow! Then the production crew decided to remove the rabbits for the next take."
The broadcast version of I Won't Let You Go must have been edited to show Agnetha in one of the other takes because you do see some little rabbits. At the end of the performance Hape Kerkeling pretended to interview her in Swedish but used a nonsense language which is why Agnetha said, "I'm sorry, but that's not Swedish!" and then looked very confused.
