300 Millones = 300 Millions
300 Millones was a weekly Spanish TV programme run on RTVE1 between 26 June 1977 and 22 March 1983, featuring different music performances, interviews, reports and competitions.
The title of the programme refers to the number of spanish-speaking people in countries all over the world ie. 300 million. The series ran via satellite in 18 Spanish-speaking countries (Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Perú, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Antillas, Panamá, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, México and Guinea Ecuatorial) as well as in Japan (on channel NHK) and the USA.
Each episode was around 1 hour long. The presenters of this edition were well-known Spanish actress Paca Gabaldón and Kiko Ledgard.
Running order of the show:
This is probably the only time Frida and Agnetha ever wore their skin-tight purple and pink Voulez Vous PROMO outfits without the little shiny bolero jackets over them. It's a bit of a shock when you see them for the first time because they are so revealing! A photograph has emerged showing Agnetha wearing the jacket and Frida holding her jacket in what is probably a dress rehearsal for Chiqutita.
The recording ended at 15:00 after an early start so ABBA only had one hour for their lunch in a nearby restaurant where they had grilled steak and salad before their next appointment - recording Aplauso.
