Pop Quest was a weekly UK quiz show which ran from 1975-1979 where children answered questions about pop music originally hosted by DJ David "Kid" Jensen and TV presenter Sally James.
An article from the music paper Sounds from 14 October 1978 by Caroline Coon entitled Rock on TV: TVOD featured an article discussing pop/rock on TV which featured the following passage:
"If, over the past year, you switched on around 3.00 pm any week day afternoon you might have seen Jimmy Pursey being interviewed about the Anti-Nazi Rally, Elvis Costello on Afternoon in Action, Lindisfarne on Magpie, Elkie Brooks on Runaround, Abba on Pop Quest, etc. In fact, a host of favourite stars, not slumming exactly, but exposing themselves in 'let it all hang out moods' very different from the 'serious' states affected in slots they imagine all of us are watching. And a lot more frequently."
As Pop Quest was a Yorkshire TV production, it's highly unlikely that if ABBA were on the programme, that they travelled up to Leeds for filming.
Do any UK fans remember this programme and ABBA being on it?
Were they there in person or was it just a video being shown?
Did they have guests in the studio?
