Benny and Björn gave a short interview and are seen walking towards the camera with the tour promoter Paul Dainty. They informed the media about the forthcoming concerts confirming that they would go ahead even in the rain.
The Paul Dainty interview was aired on Wednesday 2 March 1977 on Nine News while the Benny and Björn interview on was broadcast on Thursday 3 March 1977 (on the day of the first concert) on Nine News.
Seven Network also filmed this Paul Dainty interview and while Nine Network camera shows him from front, the Seven Network camera shows him from the left-handside.
The Benny and Björn snippet appears around 1:35 into the clip in the VIDEO section.
Benny and Björn are dressed in the same clothes (because it was filmed on the same day) seen throughout the Sydney set-up in ABBA - The Movie - especially Benny sitting in the seat and declaring that it was, "very comfortable."
Benny: Morning!
Björn: Yeah, it's definitely on you know because it's ..... it looks quite bright today
Interviewer 1: If it does rain, will you play in the rain?
Benny: Oh yes, sure
Björn: Yes, yes
Benny: Only unless we'll blow away from the stage you know
Björn: Unless it's dangerous
Interviewer 2: That wouldn't ...
Björn: Pardon?
Interviewer 2: That wouldn't worry you ... it wouldn't affect your sound or your act?
Björn: Oh no, it wouldn't. No. We wouldn't let it.
Benny: Not as long as the audience is here
Interviewer 2: Are you aware that I think about one in three families have an ABBA record at home?
Björn: Oh, yeah
Benny: I've heard that yes.
Björn: We heard those figures
Interviewer 2: Does that suprise you?
Benny: Oh yes, we never expected something like that
Interviewer 2: You didn't realise you had that sort of effect on Australian fans?
B&B: No
Interviewer 1: I take it then you're a little over-awed by the way Australians react to you?
Björn: Well, it's you know, you're a very open, friendly people and you react spontaneously which means we really feel it and it's quite a nice experience I tell you.
