| Notes | An amazing Swedish documentary about the making of Kristina Från Duvemåla. Shows footage of Benny and Björn writing and arranging the music and lyrics; auditions featuring Anders Ekborg, Åse Bergh and Helen Sjöholm; press conference; first meeting of the main characters with each other in Mono Music (including Peter Jöback); interviews; preparations and rehearsals and scenes from the stage production. Points to note: You see Anders Eljas' painstaking work turning Benny's music into written music note by note Both Benny's dogs Max and Isolde feature briefly. (It is Isolde's bark you can hear on The Ainbusk Singer's "Lassie". Also includes a report about emigrants to Sweden from Laos and
old footage of Wilhelm Moberg. |
