I Have A Dream PROMO

Filmed November 1979
Location Wembley Arena, North London, England
Broadcast
Released The PROMO was released on ABBA Gold and ABBA - The Definitive Collection and the extended version on ABBA: The Golden Years (basically The Story of ABBA)
Also has been released officially on DVD Voulez-Vous Deluxe edition in May 2010.
Notes This clip is guaranteed to have most ABBA fans groaning and reaching for the fast forward to avoid the children's choir bit.

This is not exactly the same clip for I Have A Dream live as that shown in the ABBA - Live In Concert programme. Although it's clearly the same performance, the other one has more camera shots (and is interrupted by the dreadful children's choirs in rehearsals).

Polar used it as a film clip but it wasn't shot for that purpose - it was just the closest thing to hand.

This version is particularly annoying as you hear the introduction to "Does Your Mother Know" from the ABBA Live album right at the end, when in fact there was an encore of "I Have A Dream" at each concert.

There is a THIRD, longer, version of this performance of where there is a reprise of the song. It was only on one release (The Story Of ABBA) where the extra footage is from after Björn asked "Do you wanna hear that again?".   Notice that it's a different little girl to Linda that Agnetha is singing with.

If you play these clips all together (and be careful where you start/stop/pause them) you can see the differences:

My most hated ABBA on TV moment Don't click here if you're squeamish - honestly, didn't ANYONE have a tissue to hand?
