Notes

Series 1, Episode 13

ABBA are standing in a decorated BBC Canteen with Keith Chegwin (Cheggers). As their 'swap', they offer a silver disk for the Greatest Hits album. Frida, Agnetha and Björn each says a few words and Agnetha comments that the album took about three years to record!

The episode was a "Swap of the Pops" special with other guests being Showaddywaddy, Mud, Smokie (who would go on to work with Agnetha on her Wrap Your Arms Around Me album), John Christie, White Rhino, Pussycat (their dreadful dirge "Mississippi" knocked "Dancing Queen" from the No.1 spot in the UK so I've never forgiven them for that), The Wurzels, Dr Hook and Britain's only Quackologist!

I contacted Noel Edmonds to ask if he could remember how many times ABBA appeared on the show.  His response was, "Sorry, I really can't remember!"
