ABBA performed "SOS" and "So Long" and at the end of the programme hummed "Alley Cat" (the song was a US No.1 for Bent Fabricius-Bjerre). It seems that every guest on this show hummed the tune at the end of the programme as some sort of gimmick. Although ABBA - The Book advises that "I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do" was also performed, that is not the case and this has been amended in the 2003 updated paperback version of the book. "Omkring et flygel" means "Around a piano" but is the Danish title of the song 'Alley Cat'. Note:
Bent Fabricius-Bjerre
was/is known as Bent Fabric outside of Denmark. When he was #1 in the US
with
Alley Cat, it was under the name Bent Fabric. He only uses his real
name in Denmark and probably Scandinavia. "Alley Cat" |
