| Notes |
Part of a programme and radio series produced by future ABBA photographer Anders Hanser. He explains the background in his slide show ABBA - The Pictures which was shown at ABBA - The Exhibition at the Nordiska Museet in Stockholm in 1999. Also taking part in the series were Tommy Körberg (the host), Ted Gardestad and Kalle Moraeus (making his TV debut as a 12 year old!). Frida appears on the right in a "blink-and-you'll-miss-her" appearance singing backing vocals with Lena Ericsson on Harpo's song "Movie Star". This was part of the programme featuring a report on how a record was made. This was probably the first time Anders Hanser photographed an ABBA member. Anders Hanser's photograph of Frida is included in his book "From ABBA To Mamma Mia!". He had invited ABBA to take part in the first show but they won Eurovision and he couldn't get near them until a few years later when he also met his future wife, Görel. The programme title does not lend itself to a straightforward translation. But if you were young in the 1970s, it might make some sense. Kika is slang for 'look at', Digga is slang for 'enjoy' (often referring to music) or 'check out', (that's the word ABBA misused in 'Dancing Queen' (Dig In = Check out, later changed to Diggin') Ding does not mean anything in this context, so basically the name of the TV-show translates as "Watch and enjoy". |
